Barcelona have reached the Champions league Semifinals yet again in 4 seasons, courtesy from Lionel Messi's brace. The Goal rush started with Luca Antonini foul in the D-Area. Messi slotted it home in style in the 11th minute before Nocerino leveled things up in the 32nd minute.
Yet again a foul from A.Nesta lead to a Messi Spot Kick putting the Spanish Champions ahead in the 42nd minute. The result was beyond all doubts, when Andreas Iniesta Slotted one home after the restart. This is Barcelona's third Semifinal appearance in four seasons.
Infact, Bayern Munich are also closing in on the Home Final with a repeat performance against a Hopeful Marseille side. Eventhough the doubt was there in the opening stages, the tie was put to bed when Ivica Olic struck twice in 13th and 37th minute, ensuring Bayern's progress.
Franck Ribery, A.Robben, M.Gomez were all rested for the tie, but Bayern proved the recent critics wrong with a strong response. Bayern may play Real Madrid in the Semifinal to progress to the Home Final.
