Best Story, Design and Overall Game |
Portal 2 and Battlefield 3 seals the show at the official announcement of the British Academy Video Game Awards by British Academy of Film and Television Arts held in London.
Portal 2 wins for Story, Design and Overall Game awards while Battlefield 3 wins for Audio, Multiplayer and the GAME award which was won by Call of Duty games for the past three years. At last, Battlefield dethrones Call of Duty.
Best Audio, Multiplayer and GAME |
Batman: Arkham city obviously won for Best Action Game and Best Performer for Mark Hamill who plays the Joker in the game. Need we say more about Joker's performance?
Best Performer - Mark Hamill(The Joker) |
While L.A.Noire won for Best Original Music award. The game truly deserves it as the background score matches perfectly with the plot and the setting. This award was Rockstar's first BAFTA since 2003 when it received for GTA: Vice City.
Best Original Score |
There were a few disappointing absentees however in the announcement. A few noteworthy ones are Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Crysis 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. All these games came out empty handed despite being nominated for most of the awards.
