Mancini flew to France to watch the Belgian midfielder and he delivered, scoring in a 4-0 Ligue 1 win against Valenciennes. Hazard said he was focused only on the match, despite the interest in securing his signature growing increasingly among the top flight English clubs. "I don't think about what's going on in the stands," Hazard said.
"I know they (the Manchester City coaching staff) are here but when I'm on the pitch I only think about the game. Whoever there might be, I stay focused on my team-mates, on the game."
A potential bidding war between City and rivals Manchester United could take place over the off-season with Sir Alex Ferguson watching Hazard last weekend. Also, many top flight clubs including North London duo are looking after the young Belgian winger.
