Sunderland edged Liverpool by compounding the carling cup champion's, more miseries in the process. Robin Van Persie did the job for Gunners last week and this time around it was on-loan Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner savouring the black cats a 1-0 win. the defeat puts liverpool on the verge of losing the european football for the second consecutive season.
In Form Everton displayed their class act by easing through the daunted Tottenham who have now lost three consecutive PL matches. Spurs were 10 points above their North London Counterparts before the North London Derby, but with their latest defeats to Man Utd and Everton means their third place is not all guarenteed with Arsenal yet to play this week. Everton midfielder Jelavic scored the only goal with the merseysiders gaining all three points.
Wolves were dealt a huge blow at the Molineaux by fellow strugglers Blackburn rovers. Glen Hoilett scoring a brace with a goal on either halves proved to be vital for Blackburn Rovers to gain all three points.
