The Premier League is back with many interesting set of matches around the corner. Who will lose ground and who will make up the ground ? Here is the preview.
Blackburn Rovers vs Sunderland
(Previous Meeting: 1-2)
(Form: LWLDW - WLLDW)
The Previous Meeting saw Sunderland turning around an Half time single goal deficit to give Martin O'Neill a perfect start. Sebastian Laarson secured the win for the Blackcats in the First minute of stoppage time. Blackburn's season has had infinite amount of twists. Recent being a 2-0 win at Molineaux but, their position will simply be undone with one single loss. So they should be very cautious with the upcoming fixtures.
Manchester City vs Chelsea
(Previous Meeting: 1-2)
(Form: WWWWL - DLWLW)
The so called league leaders are now second and they have to respond to United's 5-0 rout on sunday. Now City are in a situation that, they have to win all the games remaining if they want to win the title. But Roberto Mancini is optimistic over the proceedings that his team have that depth to win the League.
In contrast City's opponents are in a recent resurgence under interim manager Roberto Di Matteo. Chelsea are in a good run of form, becoming the only english club to qualify for the Last 8 of Europe's elite club competition. Chelsea, meanwhile will be amazingly relieved that their record signing Fernando Torres is back on the score sheet. So keep tuning for this amazing duel.
Tottenham vs Stoke City
(Previous Meeting: 1-2)
(Form: DWLLL - LLWWL)
Oh my word !! my word !! Tottenham couldn't have expected such a disastrous three games. Back to Back to Back league defeats saw them falling on Arsenal's visions with a single point separating the North London rivals. Tottenham badly want the three points this time around in a view to peel of saturday's memories that shook the world of football.
Stoke, meanwhile will be wanting to end their season on a high and this team were under total revelation since Tony Pulis took charge at the Britannia back in 2006. Stoke want to repeat their heroics again and prove that why they are in the England's top division.
Everton vs Arsenal
( Previous meeting: 0-1)
(Form: DWDWL - WWWWW)
The Previous meeting was something special for the Arsenal fans back in December. They were coming back after a chaotic start. They were in control of possession and just when Arsenal's saviour (Robin Van Persie) saved them yet again with a Goal of the season contender. Alex song was the Architect back in December. They are a team in form and topping the form table with five consecutive victories.
Everton, they are a team with growing confidence. Their victory over spurs was hugely surprising and they would like to make a back to back league wins against the North Londoners, but they have to stop Robin Van Persie incase of increasing any possibility of winning.
QPR vs Liverpool
(Previous Meeting: 0-1)
(Form: LLLDL - DLLLW)
What can i say about liverpool ? They are increasingly becoming a cup team. They won against stoke and progressed to the semi finals of this year's FA cup with Carling cup already in their bag. But League performance is not upto the level for a team which has won 18 league titles. Indeed, they may think that the results are not going their way, but this league is all about winning and strategies, they have to turn the corner quickly incase of seeing any european football next season.
QPR !! QPR !! Spent much on the dead line day back in August, but with the sacking of Neil Warnock this team have faded. Adel Taraabt was a hugely spoken prospect but even he couldn't change anything under Mark Hughes. Its a real deal for QPR to stay up from now on, because they fought so hard last season in the championship to secure a Premier League place.
So, it will again be an action packed midweek with exciting match-ups. Will be back with the review in a couple of days time. Until then keep Clicking !!
